Journey with me
Journey with me
The Amish have preserved the wisdom of the past, offering us powerful lessons for the present. Their way of life reminds us of the beauty and value of simplicity—focusing on what truly matters: God, family, community, and nature. In a world consumed by screens and artificial conveniences, it’s easy to feel disconnected and adrift. But the Amish show us a different path—one where hope thrives through intentional living, faith, and purpose.
If you’re curious to learn more and want to bring some of that wisdom into your own life, check out my books. They’re filled with real-life Amish stories that will inspire you to slow down, simplify, and find joy in what truly matters.
'If we fill our houses with regrets of yesterday and worries of tomorrow, we have no today for which to be thankful.' Trust God, and watch your problems turn into opportunities.”

Haley. Sweetheart. Moooooooooom. Crazy Older Sister. Christian. Crafter. Truth Seeker. Liberty Lover. Boo Boo Kisser. Lecturer. Housekeeper. Humanitarian.Organizer Extraordinaire. Reluctant Cook. Bookworm. Teacher. Leader. Green Smoothie Girl. Chocolate Addict. Yoder Toter (i.e., Amish Hauler)
Haley has always considered herself to be a bit, shall we say, abnormal. She prefers simplicity over complexity, family over friends, hard work over relaxation, and in many instances, the old-fashioned ways of doing things over the modern methods, especially when it comes to childrearing and healing. A Graduate of BYU Idaho and originally from Oregon State, Haley now resides in the Midwest with her husband and six young children.
When she’s not traveling with the Amish, she enjoys writing, reading, beautifying her home, crafting, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family.
